Maria has been creating stained glass on the north island for over 25 years. Maria does etched designs in glass as well as mosaic works. She creates her designs as paintings and each panel is one of a kind.

"Designing and creating scenes of the north island beauty in stained glass, especially the great cedars and blue herons, is my heart's passion. Glass has the magic to capture not just a moment in time but the ever changing moods of light."

Maria also enjoys the challenge of working in the abstract as well as the nostalgia of creating designs in the Victorian or Art Nouveau styles.
