My crafts reflect my endless fascination with and love for the ocean beaches of the North Island. All my raw materials and ideas come from the local beaches.

In my collages, I try to show the abundance and variety of shell life in our waters. With the glass hangings, I'm interested in the effect on the glass of the tides. And the china mosaics hint at some of the history of the region.

Above all, I find a spiritual quality at the beaches which I feel moved to express. It is affirming to create works that others also enjoy.
