"I am a painter, illustrator and fibre artist. My artwork is largely concerned with what I call "plant personalities"; however, I need to somehow expand that phrase to include lichens, fungi, and invertebrates. These are the creatures that fascinate me most. My goal as an artist is to heighten our awareness of the non-human beings all around us. The more closely we attend to our world, the more we are rewarded with what can only be called magic." |
